English for academic purposes

Our English courses are for Swiss and international students who are enrolled in a bachelor, master or PhD degree course at the University of Bern. Courses are free of charge. The number of places is limited, so we recommend applying early.

Our courses are not open to students studying at other educational institutions or universities.

Tandem

In addition, Academic English Services offer a Tandem language learning programme for all languages. Tandem is a learning partnership between two people with different mother tongues. The participants meet regularly to improve their language skills.

Tandem is open to students and staff members at the University of Bern.
